9 6th Annual Ladies Night Out: A Breast Cancer Fund Raising Gala. Houma-Terrebonne Civic
Center. 346 Civic Center Blvd. Begins at 6:30pm to 10:00pm. For more information, call

18 St. Patrick's Day Parade: Begins at 1:00pm beginning on Monarch Drive and follows the
usual West Side Parade Route. For more information, contact Marlene Jewels (985) 851-6977
18 Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra Concert: Sponsored by Terrebonne Historical & Cultural
Society, Inc. from 3-5pm at the Southdown Plantation, 1208 Museum Drive. The event will also
feature a pre-concert "Behind the Sounds" program from 2:15-2:45pm. This hands on educational
program lets children and families meet musicians and learn about instruments up-close. General
admission to the concert is free with outdoor seating on the lawn. Bring your own chairs or blankets.
A limited number is tickets are also available for reserved table seating under the Buquet Pavillion
for $25 per person, $200 per table of eight seats or corporate sponsor seating from $250-$1000.
A cash bar with wine, sodas and snacks will be available. Outside food and drinks are also permitted.

24 CASA for Kids Springfest "A World of Fun": Festival for children from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. The event
is located in the Courthouse Square in Downtown Houma, 7856 Main Street. Features 20 to 25 activity
booths and each booth represent a different country with activities that teach children about that country.
There is live entertainment throughout the day as well as many food items. Admission is free. All activities
and food cost between $1-$5. All proceeds for this event go to CASA of Terrebonne, Inc., a non-profit
organization that trains community volunteers to advocate for the abuse and neglected children in foster

24 Miss Magnolia Pageant: Sponsored by Schriever Lions Club and held at the Evergreen Cajun Center,
4694 West Main Street. 10:00 am (5 years and under), 2:00 pm (6 years and up). Entry deadline is March 22.

31 Southdown Marketplace Arts & Crafts Festival: Sponsored by the Terrebonne Historical & Cultural Society
and held at the Southdown Plantation, 1208 Museum Drive from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Over 300 vendors
selling handmade arts and more. Admission is $5 for adults, while children under 12 are admitted free.
Additional fees for food and Museum tours. "Kids' Marketplace on 'da Bayou," a tent that will feature kids
activities, arts and crafts and games, will also return this year. Co-sponsored by Kids in Motion Playhouse
Discovery Museum. The tent will be located in front of the gift shop. The activities will range in price from
