“Nude” Protest Draws Interest
Houma, LA – Monday afternoon a scantly clad woman in a cage drew interest as PETA holds a protest for an upcoming circus coming to town.
For about an hour, a woman wearing only a bra, panties, and orange body paint drew onlookers to the corner of Main and Lafayette Street.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) held the protest to protest the Ringling Brother’s Circus coming next week to the Houma-Terrebonne Civic Center.
According to police at the scene, interest began to wane as the protester disrobed exposing her tiger paint job, black panties, and orange colored bra. Also upon the protester disrobing, police said they did not see anything illegal with the protest.

These people need to get a life! A lot of these animals are much better off than what they would be in the wild. Have they ever thought that their numbers are dwindling down in the wild because there is nothing there for them to survive anymore. They are hunted by poachers, and their habitats have been take over by humans. They need to get a real job, and get a life!!!!

Well, I don't agree with stripping down to barely nothing to prove a point. There are other ways around that. I have a toddler, and if I walked up on this situation, I would be furious. These people would certainly have more to worry about than just trying to save some animal, that is already well taken care of. I have personally been to an event of the Ringling Brothers, and the animals looked happy and healthy to me. Leave the circus people alone and go home!!

I fail to see a problem with a scantily-clad woman drawing attention...

Re: “Nude” Protest Draws Interest
There are better ways to get attention regarding their cause. But on another note, what are they really asking for? Do they want the animals to run free? Get hit by cars? What?

Re: “Nude” Protest Draws Interest
That protester should have been cited for indecent over-exposure...I'm not lion...she needs h-yelp! (Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree) Those PETA folks really do go ape over the issues concerning the animals in question. Well, what cat I say? Better to cage her, than tiger up on a leash. I'm mean really, why is PETA so upset? did someone get their goat? Just because they called me recently to ask me to help protect the alligator...and I told them yeah right..that's a CROC!. Then they asked about chickens..I told them I'de have to wing it. Do you think I give a hoot about owls? Hey I'm not Purrfect but Dog-gone!...I went moose hunting with a stomache ache. All I could show for the trip was an elkaseltzer. And don't believe evrything you hear about the plight of rabbits either..It's usually just hare-say. From what I've seen rabbits are growng by leaps and bounds!
