TPSO Makes Arrests in Armed Robbery
Houma (TPSO)- After a two-week long investigation Terrebonne Parish detectives arrested two adults and two juveniles for armed robbery regarding the robbery of an individual that was reported to the Sheriff’s Office on Saturday night, September 5, 2009.
The victim in this matter is a 48-year-old male who met a female at a local store in Thibodaux on the night of September 5, 2009. The victim and the female exchanged phone numbers and agreed to meet later to have sex. The victim stated that after this conversation they both left the store.
The victim then stated that at approximately 10:00 p.m. he received a phone call from the female. He said that he then told her that she could pick him up at his residence, which is in the 100 block of Beham Court. The victim stated that after the female arrived at his residence he agreed to go to her residence.
The victim stated that after they arrived on Elmira Court the female parked the truck in the 100 block of the street. At this time there were three male suspects who approached this vehicle. One of the three suspects pointed a semi-automatic handgun and demanded money from the victim. The victim and the suspect struggled with the handgun while the other suspects punched him and took approximately $100 in cash. The victim received minor injuries to his head and face area.
After this robbery the female drove off in the truck and the victim ran back to his apartment where he called the Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives continued this investigation and received information relating to the suspects in this robbery. Detectives were informed that the female later identified as Wendy Menge set up this robbery after meeting this victim at the store.
On September 16, 2009 detectives arrested Rondraye Liloscar Turner, 17, 182 Al Joseph Lane Thibodaux, for armed robbery. Then, on the next day, September 17, 2009 detectives arrested Wendy Michelle Menge, age-31, 1300 Laban Ave. Houma for armed robbery and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
On September 18, 2009, Friday detectives arrested a 15-year-old suspect and a 16-year-old suspect for arm robbery. Detectives then also charged Rondraye Turner with contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
Turner remains in the Terrebonne Parish Jail on a $120,000.00 bond while Menge remains in jail on a $150,000.00. Both Menge and Turner arraignment date is set for October 29, 2009.
