St Mary Parish: Arrests Update January 24th

St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office - According to Sheriff Mark A. Hebert during the last 24 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 48 complaints and reports the following arrests: Juanne Edith Stelly 23 yoa of 100 Myrtle St., Berwick was arrested on 1-23-2012 at 8:10 am for Careless Operation of a Motor Vehicle, No Insurance and Child Restraint Required. Deputy was called to Hwy 182 and Allies Lane in Patterson in reference to a two car accident. During investigation it was learned that suspect ran into the back of another vehicle causing said accident. Also during investigation suspect had two young juveniles three and four in the vehicle with no child restraints and had no insurance. Suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 4-16-2012.
Dontrell Williams 18 yoa of 316 Elise St., Patterson was arrested on 1-23-2012 at 8:41 am for Possession of Marijuana and Drug Free Zone. Deputy was called to Patterson High School in reference to drug violation. Upon Deputy’s arrival it was learned from school official that above suspect was caught on the school campus with marijuana. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.
Bradley M. Dauphine 18 yoa of 444 Southeast Blvd. Apt. C, Bayou Vista was arrested on 1-23-2012 at 4:00 pm for Domestic Abuse Battery and two counts of Aggravated Assault. Deputy was called to above location in reference a disturbance. Upon Deputy’s arrival it was learned from complainant that suspect was causing a disturbance at the residence and had committed a battery upon her and had grabbed a knife and made threats to his parents. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time. Ron D. Leonard 4326 Hwy 83, Franklin was arrested on 1-23-2012 at 7:17 pm on a warrant for Failure to Appear for Operating a Vehicle without a License. Suspect turned himself into the Sheriff’s Office on warrant for his arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $1000.00 bond at this time.
Barrett Cart 31 yoa of 2934 Hwy 182, Patterson was arrested on 1-24-2012 at 2:29 am on a warrant for Probation Violation. Deputy was patrolling the Bayou Vista area, when he observed two subjects walking on Middle St. and conducted an investigative stop. During investigation it was learned of a warrant for above suspect. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $2000.00 bond at this time.
The St. Mary Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force, consisting of St. Mary Sheriff Dept., Morgan City Police Dept., Franklin Police Dept., Baldwin Police Dept.., Berwick Police Dept., and Chitimacha Police Dept.. report the following arrests: Jonathan Ha 39 yoa of 345 Southeast Blvd., Bayou Vista was arrested on 1-23-2012 at 2:31 pm on warrants for Possession of Synthetic Cannabinoids with Intent to Distribute, two counts of Distribution of Synthetic Cannabinoids, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Transactions Involving Drug Proceeds and Possession of a Firearm in the Presence of CDS. Suspect was located at Long’ Food Mart in Bayou Vista placed under arrest on warrants from an ongoing investigation where a large amount of synthetic cannabinoids were located in Longs Food Mart with an estimated street value of $14,000.00. Suspect was booked into the parish jail with a $100,000.00 bond at this time.
